2009 Carbon Copy Pro 90 Day Challenge

by Jan Shimano

It is absolutely essential to set goals for yourself and write them down. So many people still don’t understand how important it is to do this. Some have a vague idea of what they would like to have happen in the future but they don’t even have a rough plan of action. If you are not sure of where you are heading, how are you going to know if you ever get there!! I know that sounds a little silly, but when you think about it, you will realize that it makes a lot of sense.

I have been retired from full-time employment for many years now. In the past I was District Manager for Health & Welfare Canada. A lot of responsibility went along with the job but I had no computer skills as my staff would take care of those things for me. Just this past November, 2008, I decided that I was going to fulfill a dream of mine to run my own internet marketing business. I knew next to nothing about the industry but I was determined to learn what I needed to know. After doing a fair amount of research, I aligned myself with Carbon Copy Pro. I was very impressed with this Company because they offered a complete marketing system that helped solve all the problems that most people face in a home-based business. They also provided all the necessary tools for success. I could hardly believe it, but they actually also closed the deals for you!!

At their Convention in the fall of 2008 they offered a program…the 2009 Carbon Copy Pro 90 Day Challenge. I later learned about it and signed up and last night was the last of the weekly webinars. One of the instructors asked us to record our progress during this 90 day period. That got me thinking about where I am today, compared to where I was back in early December, when we had our first webinar. Back then I had never written an article before, I had never produced a video, I had never had my own blog, or a Facebook or a Twitter account…I had never even heard of some of these things.

So what have I managed to accomplish during this period of time? I have learned that I love to write and have written 20 articles that have all been published by EzineArticles. That in itself would have made me deliriously happy…but I also managed to get all 20 articles on the first page of Google and many of them were even in the first position.

I bought myself a little webcam and started learning how to create and edit videos. There was quite a learning curve but I now have 26 videos on my YouTube channel and I also have 37 subscribers to my channel. When I upload a new video, these people are automatically advised so that they can check it out. I have received some very complimentary comments from viewers who also thank me for helping them get started with their own business.

I initially started a WordPress.com blog but have recently switched over to a WordPress.org blog, which I host myself. I am now learning the intricacies of blogging and how to create my own capture pages. I posted my first Press Release a month or so back and will be posting another one this week. I have 567 followers (and growing) on Twitter and 865 followers (so far) on Facebook and I have developed some great relationships by networking on these two sites.

I feel very good about myself when I look at what I have accomplished during the past 90 days, and this is only the beginning!!

I know you have all heard people say “if I can do it, then anyone can!” Well, I am a 65 year old, retired woman, with no previous computer or marketing skills. If you have the desire to reach your goals, then believe me, nothing can or will stop you from accomplishing them. The right person or the right information will ‘magically’ come along at just the perfect time. It really is very exciting and I would like to encourage any of you that are thinking of starting your own home-based business, to just go for it. There is no better time than right now. There are going to be millions of new millionaires created in the next ten years and there is no reason on earth why you can’t be one of them.

One final word if I may….if you even have the opportunity to sign up for the next 2009 Carbon Copy Pro 90 Day Challenge, then go for it. The training you will receive will be priceless.

Connecting on Facebook

by Jay S NaPier

Social networking has become a big buzz in the business world today and no other website has what Facebook has to offer. You can easily promote your business by meeting people you relate to on a personal level. People buy from people they like, so after you get to know folks on Facebook it gets easier to make sales. Ok, you’re convinced – let me tell you more.

One of the most important things you’ll do with your Facebook account is make friends. It’s easiest to start with your existing friends. Look at your addressbook and see who already has a Facebook account and ask to become their friend on Facebook. Next, you can expand your search and look for people that you can meet. Start off with something in common – like your hobbies. This makes it easier to get to know people.

When you’ve built a good sized list, you can slowly begin to build your business. You’ll start off subtly. People get annoyed when your to agressive about promoting your business. You could get reported as a spammer or your friends might drop you. you don’t want to seem pushy. You also actually want to become people’s friends. Take an interest in what other are doing and what they like. Send your friends messages from time to time and really get to know them on a personal level. People buy from people they like, when someone likes you are more apt to purchase from you.

One thing that works great to promote a vacation business on Facebook is to put your vacation pictures up on the FunWall. For example, if you just took a great trip to Disney World, you can post your pictures on your profile. Then when your friends come to see your new pictures, they will probably comment about how fun that looks. Then, eventually the conversation will shift to how great of a deal you got on your trip. This is the perfect time to let them know about your business and how you can help them create such wonderful memories for their family.

Another way to make new friends is to join groups. A Facebook group is a group of people that have a common interest and are like-minded. You can find these groups covering so many different topics like: politics, sports, religion, geography, music, movies, and one of the biggies alma mater. Most recently for myself, I’ve really enjoyed reconnecting with people I went to school with over 18 years ago. It’s fun to reconnect and find out what your old classmates are up to.

Status, is another way to connect with people. Your status ask you “what are you doing?” you can connect with people by sharing bits and pieces of your life on a daily basis. You could be: hiking in the woods, reading a novel, or maybe you are at your daughter’s dance studio. No matter what you are doing, it’s another opportunity to connect with your friends. You can even announce how excited you are about a new product or service that your company has come out with.

Ever read a great article online? links are the place that you want to share those. Blog posts, your video channel, or perhaps the latest updates on American Idol. Your shared links can be news, pictures, videos, or perhaps even to announce you’ve added a new post to your business blog.

No matter what your objective is, Facebook is one of the best places online to connect with other people. You can get your word out to your current customers and even make new ones. Premier business into 2009 requires a Facebook account and regular updates to truly connect and successfully thrive with social networking.

Here’s how you can Learn To Make Money Online

by Abigail Hansen

I often see websites that claim to show you how to make money online for free. A lot of people are desperate to find answers, so they, almost reluctantly, follow this advice.

Can you really learn to make money for free? Well let’s consider this. If you were making real money online, why would you be giving your secrets away for free? Are people really that good natured that they will gladly spend their time teaching you and others all their secrets free of charge regardless of the competition that it would create for them?

Anyone who is really making money online is going to keep their secrets to themselves. There is a huge competition for business online and the only people who are going to succeed are those who find their own niches. These are the one who will really succeed.

Some people who are successful in the online world are willing to impart their knowledge to learners, but they will charge a high price. Individual coaching can cost thousands of dollars and there is never a guarantee of success, indeed there is often no success at all.

OK, so how do you learn to make money? You need to look for someone in between the two. Someone who will give you help and guide you at a lower cost. Someone whose charges will be much lower, but who is prepared to give you some genuine help.

Online you will find hundreds of eBooks, many of which contain very valuable information, but there is also a lot of garbage that is not worth a penny. Beware of spending a lot of cash to learn to make money online, think of where it comes from. Be certain that the writer know his business.

But don’t be afraid to take risks. If you really are going to make an online business, you will have failures. It’s just the natural course of things. You have to mess up sometimes to learn from your mistakes, avoid repeating them in the future. And after you learn all you can from others, you will still need to develop your own methods and find which tools you work best with.

Remember the saying; if it’s priced at a penny, it is only worth a penny. You have to be man enough to put some money and effort into it, but dont spend your fortune before you make it.
